What is Lights On?
Lights On® is a powerful inside-out way to learn through your natural born talents, innate strengths and curiosities so you can fulfill your potential. It refers to the internal state of being based on what you are feeling and thinking at any given moment.
When you are in the Lights On state you are receptive to being creative, able to absorb and retain relevant information and you are courageously vulnerable enough to express yourself fully from your heart.
You feel authentic and alive and you are focused, inspired and take intentional action.
But what if I'm feeling Lights Off?
In contrast, when you're Lights Off, everything is harder and it feels like you are wading through treacle! Learning feels pointless and forced and it can be challenging to see the way forward. When Lights Off your thoughts become negative, and limiting beliefs that are automated in your subconscious programming, begin to run and get very loud.
As your Lights Off neurocircuitry sparks up and gets stronger, it creates a feedback loop between your thoughts, emotions and actions, so you can begin to feel rubbish about yourself. Your self-talk becomes negative and triggers emotions that make you feel uncomfortable. Thoughts like:
‘I can’t do this. It’s too hard. I’ll never be successful so why bother. I might as well quit now before I fail.’
As you begin to ‘feel’ your Lights Off thoughts in your body as emotions, such as frustration, resentment, anger and sadness, you can become insecure, anxious and really feel you are under threat or in danger. During this state your brain goes into survival mode and works perfectly to keep you safe. You contract down and may even feel you want to hide, run away or fight. Essentially, any action you take is fuelled by fear, to avoid the perceived danger your mind and body believes you are in.

I'm a mother to two teenagers, a natural born social entrepreneur, a story teller and master neurocoach.
In my life before kids I was a world adventurer and a BAFTA and Grierson nominated filmmaker. I've always had a passion for creating social change in the world, especially through female empowerment.
When I became a mum I narrowed my changemaker focus to my family. Then out to my children's village school and in 2010 I won the NCPTA Gold Star Award for Changing The Life Of The School. Since then I've been working with 1000s of children and families.
I truly believe when we invest in mothers to change their legacy the world will be a brighter place to be. I'm here to build a tribe of 10 million Lights On® families, led by their mothers, before 2025.
